  • 2 pounds red potatoes
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 cup bleu cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash potatoes and cut into large chunks; place in a large saucepan with the garlic cloves and cover with water.

  • Step 2: Cover, and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes.

  • Step 3: Drain potatoes; add bleu cheese, milk, butter and pepper and coarsely mash with a potato masher or large fork.

  • Step 4: If potatoes seem too thick, add evaporated milk a teaspoon at a time until desired consistency.
