"I was hesitant to try burgers made from mushrooms, but since I don't care for meat and I missed burgers, I decided to try it. This recipe is the best I've found, and it even makes my meat-eating husband happy."

Step 1

Combine the liquid ingredients and garlic in a shallow dish that is big enough for the mushrooms to lay side by side.

Step 2

Marinate mushrooms in the mixture for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Grill mushrooms on stovetop grill pan or skillet for 4-5 minutes per side.

Step 4

Serve on hamburger buns with fresh vegetables and condiments.

This is really quite yummy for a 'shroom that doesn't marinate very long! I also like that I can cook it in a grill pan on the stove. I served them on Kaiser rolls with some melted Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a smear of basil pesto. Excellent!
