Maple Walnut Cookies
"Adapted from the Vermont Sugar Makers' Association. Makes about 5 dozen cookies. I'm planning to make these as soon as I get some maple sugar. It's healthier than regular sugar, because you don't have to use as much since it's sweeter. From what I've read, it keeps well too. Anyway, if you don't have maple sugar, you can substitute 1 1/2 cups sugar and 2 teaspoons maple extract for the 1 cup maple sugar. (Since maple sugar is sweeter, it takes more regular syrup to make up for it.)"
