"One day my friend at work brought this in for lunch. I turned my nose up at it, and laughed as she told me how delicious it was... The next day she made me one, and made me try it... I was hooked on the first bite...Try it...I bet you will get hooked too! I would not use black beans in this sandwich. I use Friends or Bush's baked beans. Note: You can add bacon to this sandwich for variation, or how about chow chow or relish."

Unbelievably delicious, and oh so simple! I cook dried beans frequently, but had none on hand. I always keep cans of Luck's beans around for those times. I used mixed beans. Never thought of doing a sandwich with them. I think the mayo made all the difference in the world....a real simple, mostly healthy "go to". Thanks!

I made an open-face sandwich using a slice of Bavarian bread. I used low-fat Hellman's mayo which I mixed with the beans and it turned out delicious. This was a very filling lunch. Thanks for sharing. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.
