"A recipe I tried at a friend's house. She was trying copycat recipes at a BBQ dinner she was hosting. This was delicious and was gobbled up in no time. The original recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar as listed here but I only use 1/2 cup of sugar when I make it. I have also made this with apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar which worked well."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Toss together the shredded cabbage, grated carrots and onion.

Step 2

Whisk together the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl.

Step 3

Pour the sauce into the slaw, and stir until everything is well coated.

Step 4

Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.

Step 5

Enjoy!

YUMMO! I had a bag of coleslaw mix in the fridge and also a bag of shredded carrot to use up..... so I missed that step...but the rest was as per recipe! LOVE, LOVE LOVED, this great recipe, a little like K.F.C. but I think here is Australia, our's might be a little different, here it is very finelt cut and a little on the sour side. But who care's..... because we loved this and I will be making it again! So easy to make, and great flavours.

This is a MMmm slaw. I left out the carrot & used my mini chopper to cut up the cabbage. Took minutes to make. I made 1/2 recipe so there will be enough for a couple more nights side salad for two of us.
