Julie's Sausage Gravy
"One of hubby's favorites, serve over Mom's Buttermilk Biscuit, yum! A cross between mom's recipe and ThatJodiGirl on fooddotcom. This is a mild gravy, I'm not one for hot stuff. Feel free to use spicy sausage and add a pinch of cayenne. Use my mom's buttermilk biscuit recipe, 15 minute prep time not included below."

Start your biscuits first. Then, in skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until done, breaking up with a potato masher.
Step 2
Drain grease, then add butter, using a spatula to loosen all the good bits from the pan.
Step 3
Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir well, let cook for about 5 minutes or more, til flour has turned golden brown.
Step 4
Add milk and cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Add pepper, taste and adjust seasonings. Serve over biscuits.
