Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine the rice, apple juice, salt, butter and raisins in a pot and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Cover and cook on low heat for 40 minutes.

Step 3

Add the dried apple mixture and cook 10 minutes longer.

Step 4

Take off heat.

Step 5

Let rest covered for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Top with nuts and serve plain or with cream or whipped topping.

Step 7

Add more honey if needed.
