"Usually I do not post a recipe that has been tested by myself or someone I know. But I have had this recipe for a while and really want to try it in the apple season. The recipe comes from an Australian Company "Devondale." I have made a few of their recipes and never been let down. Serve with Whipped Cream, Ice Cream or Custard. The simplicity of this recipe sounds too good to be true!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix all ingredients (not serving ingredients) together thoroughly in a large bowl

Step 2

Place in a greased and lined 18x28cm slice tin

Step 3

Bake in a moderate oven 180°C (160°C fan-forced) for approximately 30-40 minutes

Step 4

When cooked sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar mixed together.

Step 5

To serve: Drizzle with Thickened Cream, Ice Cream or Custard and sprinkle with some extra cinnamon sugar.
