Step 1
In a medium saucepan, add water and sugar together. On high heat, bring to boiling, dissolving the sugar. It should take approximately 10 minutes.
Step 2
When done, place the pan on a wire rack to cool. If in a hurry, put the pan in a bowl of ice in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Check on it and stir it until it cools.
Step 4
Add the juice and zest, stirring until it's combined.
Step 5
Pour everything into a non metal container with a lid and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours.
Step 6
When it's done chilling, mix it in your ice cream maker according to the directions.
