Step by Step Method

Step 1

Line a grill/broiler pan with foil pressing it into the groves of the pan.

Step 2

Cut a line down the centre of the top of shell (not the underside of the shell), stopping just before the tail fins.

Step 3

Pull shell part leaving it intact, and gently pull lobster meat out, cradling it on top the now opened shell.

Step 4

Using a sharp knife, made a small slit down the top of the meat and spread out by running your finger through the lobster meat.

Step 5

Fill crevice with butter, then sprinkle with garlic salt, pepper and paprika.

Step 6

Grill/Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for approximately 1 minute per ounce (eg a 4 ounce tail would take about 4 minutes), watch it carefully.

What a nice recipe this was. I've always wanted to try this type of presentation and the directions were good to walk me thru how to do it. I have to admit.....it was a little harder to get the lobster out than I thought but it was worth it. Thanks for sharing Pat. Made for FYC tag.
