"The recipe for this comforting fruit salad was found in the Mar 2006 cookbooklet, Taste of Home All-Time Best Slow Cooker Recipe Cards. Although the recipe calls for a jar of chunky applesauce, I usually use my own homemade stuff. "

Basically an outstanding recipe. The applesauce I purchased turned out to be quite thin so the final dish ended up being more soupy than I had anticipated. No problem. I served this over cubed sponge cake and enjoyed every bite. Take note, if the peaches, pears and applesauce you use are sweetened, you may want to either cut back on the sugar or leave it out entirely. The spice blend is perfect for the fruit. If you like warm pie or warm fruit this is most certainly a recipe for you to try!
