Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 150C.

Step 2

Line four oven trays with baking paper.

Step 3

Put flour in a large bowl and stir in oats and sugar blend.

Step 4

Put in oil, syrup and hot water in a small saucepan over a medium heat and stir occasionally until combined.

Step 5

Stir in bicarbonate of soda into syurup mixture and remove from the heat and then add the warm syrup mixture to the oat mixture and stir until well combined.

Step 6

Roll two teaspoons of the mixture into balls to make 46 balls and then arrange balls on prepared tray about 8cm apart and press each ball lightly with your fingers to flatten slightly and bake for 16 minutes, let cool on trays for 10 minutes and then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
