Finally taste. Adjust seasonings in salsa if need be.

Step 6

Cover salsa and store in fridge till use.

Step 14

Start by placing the avocado, chopped onion and the rest of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Using the back side of a fork, push down and break up the avocado into small pieces.

Step 16

Once the avocado is pretty much broken up, use a spatula to fold everything together making sure is it well mixed.

Step 17

Taste, for seasonings. If you need or want more salt, and lime juice this would be the time to adjust. If adjusted make sure it is incorporated very well.

Store in a container or bowl and cover with plastic wrap till use. Note: make this the last part you make right before serving because avocado browns quickly.

  • When selecting avocados, look for ones that are slightly soft but not mushy.
  • For a milder flavor, remove the seeds from the habanero pepper.

  • For the peaches, substitute mango for a sweeter flavor. The benefit of this substitution is that it will add a sweeter flavor to the peach salsa, creating a more balanced flavor profile.

Tropical Guacamole Replace the peaches in the salsa with diced mango and pineapple. Replace the peppermint in the salsa with mint leaves and add 1/4 cup of diced jalapeno. Replace the chili powder in the pepitas with a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
