Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add the turkey and the onions. Cook until the turkey is not pink and the onions are starting to soften. This should take about 3 minutes. Stir it occasionally while it's cooking. Add the salt and pepper. Drain off the fat, if any, and return it to the skillet.

Step 2

Add everything else. Bring it all to a boil.

Step 3

Then cover the skillet, reducing the heat to medium-low. Cook for 20 to 22 minutes, or until the rice is done.

Step 4

Take a taste and add seasonings if you desire.

We really liked this a lot! I used only 1 cup dry rice and used a large - prob.28 ounce size -can of Italian green beans. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be fresh green beans, frozen or canned. I had canned, so used them! We got about 6 servings out of the batch. Will be making this again!
