  • Make sure to buy peeled and deveined shrimp for this recipe to save time.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, use less hot pepper sauce.

  • Olive oil - Coconut oil: Coconut oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil, so it's better for grilling. It also has a milder flavor, so it won't overpower the other ingredients.
  • White wine vinegar - Rice vinegar: Rice vinegar is milder than white wine vinegar, so it won't overpower the other flavors. It also has a slightly sweet taste that will complement the other ingredients.

Lemon-Garlic Shrimp In a bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients (oil-pepper), adding 1/4 cup lemon juice and 2 tablespoons minced garlic. Follow the same instructions as listed above for Grilled Shrimp.

Grilled Asparagus - Grilled asparagus is the perfect accompaniment to grilled shrimp. It adds a fresh, earthy flavor that pairs well with the flavors of the marinade. Plus, it's a healthy and easy side dish that will make your meal complete.

Roasted Potatoes: Roasted potatoes are a great side dish to serve with grilled shrimp and asparagus. They are simple to make and can be cooked in the same pan as the shrimp and asparagus. Roasted potatoes provide a delicious, crispy texture that complements the other ingredients. Plus, they are a great source of complex carbohydrates for a balanced meal.

These were pretty good hot off the grill. Next time I would cut down on the Tabasco. A little too hot for our taste!

I cut the recipe down to 2 servings...and used parsley instead of basil (only because the basil turned bad)...this was so easy to prepare and so very tasty...I cooked them on my George Foreman grill...yummy...served them for one of our appy nights...made for "Bill Board" tag game...
