Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup basil, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (tabasco)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds shrimp (about 36 large, peeled and deveined)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients (oil-pepper).

  • Step 2: Thread 6 shrimp on each of six metal skewers (10-12 inch) and place the skewers in a glass baking dish. Spoon all but 1/4 cup marinade over the shrimp and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

  • Step 3: Prepare grill (medium high heat) and grill shrimp until opaque in center (about 5 minutes total, turning halfway through). Arrange on a platter and spoon the reserved marinade over the skewered shrimp.
