"Here's a recipe for all of you that are on Gluten free diets. It is from Home Magazine by Chery Costilow. Hope you enjoy it! There are Gluten-free frostings that you can buy or make your own. You will need 3/4 cup of frosting. If you wish colour your frosting and you may like to top the cookies with some gluten-free sprinkles. Makes 8 1/2 dozen cookies"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400

Step 2

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Step 3

Beat in the egg and almond extract

Step 4

In another bowl whisk together the flour, gum and salt

Step 5

Gradually beat the flour mixture into the butter mixture

Step 6

Using a cookie press with a disk of your choice press dough 1 inch apart onto an ungreased baking sheet

Step 7

Bake 6-8 inutes or until the bottoms are light brown

Step 8

Remove from sheets and place on wire racks to cool

Step 9

If you are using the frosting warm it to reach a drizzling consistency

Step 10

Drizzle over the cookies
