Step 1: Preheat oven to 400
Step 2: Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Step 3: Beat in the egg and almond extract
Step 4: In another bowl whisk together the flour, gum and salt
Step 5: Gradually beat the flour mixture into the butter mixture
Step 6: Using a cookie press with a disk of your choice press dough 1 inch apart onto an ungreased baking sheet
Step 7: Bake 6-8 inutes or until the bottoms are light brown
Step 8: Remove from sheets and place on wire racks to cool
Step 9: If you are using the frosting warm it to reach a drizzling consistency
Step 10: Drizzle over the cookies
