Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl beat butter until fluffy.

Step 3

Add brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Beat until combined.

Beat in egg and vanilla.

Step 5

Add melted chocolate.

Step 6

Beat in sour cream.

Step 7

Beat in flour.

Step 8

Drop by slightly rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are firm.

Let cool on pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Step 11

To make Frosting; Beat butter until fluffy. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and cocoa and beat. Beat in milk and vanilla. Add in the remaining 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and beat till smooth. Add more milk if it is too thick to spread.

Step 12

Frost cooled cookies with frosting
