The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar (divided)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350.

  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl beat butter until fluffy.

  • Step 3: Add brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Beat until combined.

  • Step 4: Beat in egg and vanilla.

  • Step 5: Add melted chocolate.

  • Step 6: Beat in sour cream.

  • Step 7: Beat in flour.

  • Step 8: Drop by slightly rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

  • Step 9: Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are firm.

  • Step 10: Let cool on pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Step 11: To make Frosting; Beat butter until fluffy. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and cocoa and beat. Beat in milk and vanilla. Add in the remaining 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and beat till smooth. Add more milk if it is too thick to spread.

  • Step 12: Frost cooled cookies with frosting
