"The easiest glaze to spice up a ham steak. I don't recommend this for a whole ham, but this works wonderful for ham steaks. This recipe works best if cooking in a saute pan, as you end up with more of a glaze; but it also works great on the grill. This was adapted from a small recipe book I have had for years. The original recipe had yellow mustard and Aunt Jemimah's pancake syrup; but decided to put my spin on it."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Glaze ... Mix everything together in a small cup.

Step 2

Ham ... Brush the glaze on one side of the ham steak and place that side down either in a saute pan or on the grill. I prefer to use a non-stick pan if possible. Then continue to glaze the ham often as it cooks. ENJOY!

A delicious glaze for my ham, and I will use it again. Made for a most delicious Easter meal that we loved with Garlic Mashed potatoes, Parmesan asparagus and Cheesy biscuits!

The only change I made was to add a little honey whole grain mustard I had left, with the other 4 ingredients listed. What a terrific sauce for ham steaks! We loved it! Just the perfect sauce to compliment your ham steaks, so easy and simple. Will be using this again for sure.

A very simple easy glaze. The recipe says it is for a ham steak but I used it on a small ham and it was perfect. Thanks KC for being part of my Thanksgiving dinner

I made this for adding to our ham steaks that we cooked on the grill. I added it during the last 15 minutes of cooking time and the steaks were delicious! We had sides of corn on the cob and scalloped potatoes cooked on the grill too and I was so happy because I didn't have to heat up the kitchen to make it!
