Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cut squash in half and clean out the seeds and fiber. Cut a sliver from the center of the rounded ends so that squash halves will sit securely in the pan.
Step 2
Put the squash halves cut side down in 1 inch of water.
Step 3
Bake 30 minutes at 350'. Pour off the water.
Step 4
Turn the squash halves over and bake 30 minutes longer at 350'.
Step 5
Flavor with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, pepper to taste.
