"This is a very old cheese ball recipe that I got from a fellow teacher in 1965. My family has enjoyed it every Christmas since. I am always asked for the recipe. These cheese balls make very nice food gifts for friends or hostesses."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Put the first five ingredients through a food chopper or grate or chop finely and combine.
Step 2
Add the softened cream cheese and ripe olives and combine with hands, forming it into 4 balls.
Step 3
Roll in paprika and tie in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Take out of fridge about an hour before serving so they will be spreadable. Serve with your favorite snack crackers.
