Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a crock pot, mix water, split green peas, carrots, onions, pork tenderloin, curry powder, black pepper and chicken cubes.

Step 2

Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.

Step 3

Mash peas against the side of the pot to thicken soup.

Step 4

Cook on low 3 more hours, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Stir in frozen green peas, and simmer 8-10 more minutes.

Step 6

Serve with sprinkled edam or gouda cheese on top.

I missed the mention of crockpot, so just made it stovetop! I love the touch of curry to remind one of the influence of the East Indian spice trade on the cuisine of the Netherlands. Anyway, we liked this a lot - I used ham instead of pork and hot curry powder. Very low WW points, btw. Made to your football win!
