Step by Step Method

Step 1

Actifry method: Place all the ingredients in the actifry cooker and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, depending how crispy you like these.

Step 2

Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Oven method: Toss everything together in a bowl then pour the chickpeas on a baking sheet. Place in a preheated 400 degree oven and cook for 30 minutes or until crispy.

I had half a can of garbanzos leftover from something else so this was perfect for me to try, making just a half order. They are very easy to put together and make a delicious snack. Rather than being crispy the way garbanzos are in Indian sev mix, these are chewy and spicy the way one might expect from Cajun boiled peanuts. I can see how they would make an excellent salad topped, but they are equally delicious eaten out of hand.
