"Desi Arnez take on rice ,can use turmeric instead of saffron 1/2 teaspoon This tasted a little better when allowed to sit and mellow for awhile ,so i would make ahead and reheat for my own take"

Step 1

Add saffron to 2 tablespoons water to soak just a pinch of threads

Step 2

Saute green onions in butter until tender add garlic

Step 3

Add rice

Step 4

Add broth

Step 5

Add herbs and saffron

Step 6

Cover rice and simmer for 20 minutes

Step 7

Take out lemon peel

Step 8

Mix in peas olives and almonds
