I think I screwed up on the layering of this recipe, where I made the bread the last layer and I think it’s supposed to be the Swiss cheese mixture. Because of this the bread toasted really fast and I had to pull it out of the oven sooner. My fault! The sammies, came out full-bodied, cheesy and creamy which we enjoyed, but felt like it needed some seasoning and maybe a sharper cheese in addition to the lighter cheese. I also added a bit more ham than noted. I can see different kinds of cold cuts working well here too. Thank you, Dee, for sharing. Made it “For your Consideration” tag game.
