"Last week after going to the dentist I stopped at a gourmet grocery store where I purchased crimini mushrooms. Today, I was rooting around in our jam packed refrigerator, when I came across the CRIMINI MUSHROOMS! Whew, they still looked and smelled okay, so I decided to saute them up. I came up with this recipe with ingredients I had on hand which I feel really enhanced the flavor of the mushrooms."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

A lot of food enthusiasts clean mushrooms with a damp sponge, and that is fine if you want to spend the time doing that, however, since I was going to cook the mushrooms in broth, I used water to wash them.

Step 2

Quarter the mushrooms.

Step 3

Add butter to skillet and melt on medium high heat.

Step 4

Add mushrroms and saute for 10 minutes stirring frequently.

Step 5

Add chicken broth, soy sauce mixing with the mushrooms and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 6

Enjoy!

5 star all the way - so simple with wonderful results. I only did a half recipe and sure was sorry, they are so good. The carmelizing happens near the end of the cooking time so be sure to cook them until almost all of the broth has cooked away.
