Step 1

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in the sifted flour, cocoa, bicarbonate soda and salt and add the nuts

Step 2

Spoon heaped tablespoons of mixture onto a greased baking tray, allowing room for spreading

Step 3

Bake in a moderately hot oven 190°C for 14-16 minutes or until cooked.

Step 4

Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container until required

Delicious! I used a bit less sugar and used walnuts instead of pecans but otherwise made as directed. I was able to get about 30 cookies from the recipe. Thanks for sharing!
