"From ninemsn. I have used the frypan but not the microwave method. 18th May 2016 I cooked a piece of rindless bacon (similar to Canadian) which was frozen and in 2 minutes it was cooked and very crispy, just crumbled in your fingers and my microwave is 900 watts, so with that I have lowered the time limit in the recipe."

Step 1
MICROWAVE - Put a layer of kitchen paper on a microwave proof plate and top with the bacon slices and place another layer of kitchen paper on top and cook in microwave on high for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 minutes (timing will depend on wattage of microwave and how fatty the bacon is). Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Step 2
FRYPAN - Place bacon in a cold frying pan and turn the heat on and cook until crisp (by placing in a cold pan ensures that the fat renders out while the pan is warming, therefore there is no need for oil). Season with salt and pepper if desired.
