Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Combine butter, brown sugar, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla;

Step 3

Beat until light and fluffy.

Step 4

Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.

Step 5

Add to butter mixture; stir well.

Step 6

Add oats, walnuts and raisins.

Step 7

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Step 8

Bake in upper third of oven for 12 to 15 minutes.

The boys coming will really enjoy these cookies! I have never made/had a large flake oatmeal cookie before, always made them with the quick oats. They are crunchy and soft at the same time. I didn't have enough raisin, so to make the amount, I used dried cranberries. I soaked the fruit while I made the batter, and they were plump and juicy in the finished cookie.DH said "they are great"...and he knows his cookies! Thanks again Bea for another yummy keeper.
