Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, baking powder and baking soda in large bowl.

Step 3

Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

Step 4

Stir in peanuts.

Step 5

Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture.

Step 6

Stir egg into remaining crumb mixture.

Step 7

Press onto bottom of 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Step 8

Stir together sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter in small bowl until well combined. Pour evenly over partially baked crust.

Step 9

Stir together reserved crumb mixture and chocolate chips. Sprinkle evenly over peanut butter layer.

Step 10

Bake an additional 15 minutes. Cool.

Step 11

Cut into bars.

These went like hot cakes! I made them with all-purpose flour I'm guessing that is what kind of flour to use, if anyone is looking for a great bar recipe try this one! thanks for sharing your recipe with us!
