"If you like oatmeal cookies and like chocolate chips in cookies, you have to try these tasty sweets. Personally, I like these cookies much more than traditional chocolate chip cookies. YIELD: 3 1/2 - 4 dozen cookies."
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well.
Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie, or 12-13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on the cookie sheet, then move to a wire rack and cool completely. NOTE: Bake only 1 cookie sheet at a time so they cook evenly.
There is nothing quite like the smells and memories of fresh baked cookies. Serve them...

This are wonderfully good cookies -- we were able to get 4 dozen from this recipe, so probably made the cookies a bit smaller than indicated. I think there may be a typo in the ingredients list and I only used 1 teaspoon of vanilla rather than the amount specified. Thanks for sharing!
We really enjoyed these cookies. More vanilla than we are used to but worked great! We used quick oats and the dough spread out too much so we added extra oats in the last 2 batches. I wonder if regular oats would have worked better.
Great cookie with lots of texture. To quote an old potato chip ad, “bet you can’t eat just one”.
