Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup butter, softened (or margarine, softened)
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
  • 2 1/2 cups oats (rolled oats)
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  • Step 2: Beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well.

  • Step 3: Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.

  • Step 4: Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

  • Step 5: Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

  • Step 6: Bake for 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie, or 12-13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on the cookie sheet, then move to a wire rack and cool completely. NOTE: Bake only 1 cookie sheet at a time so they cook evenly.
