"This is a super simple, super tasty dessert made in a 10 inch cast iron skillet. This is the kind of cobbler my grandmother would make in the summer. The baked strawberries create pockets of jammy goodness. Serve with some vanilla ice cream to take it to another level!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.

Step 2

While the oven is heating up, prepare the strawberries. Wash, hull, and cut the berries into quarters (small berries can be cut in half). Set the berries aside.

Step 3

On the stovetop, place the cast iron skillet. Melt the butter on low heat.

Step 4

While the butter is melting, prepare the cobbler batter. Mix together milk, sugar, and flour until smooth.

Step 5

When the butter has melted, turn off the heat. Pour the batter over the butter - DO NOT STIR!

Step 6

Add the cut strawberries around the pan, again, do not stir.

Step 7

Bake for 45 minutes, and enjoy!
