  • 1 (4 ounce) stick salted butter
  • 4 cups strawberries
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour

How to Make

  • Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: While the oven is heating up, prepare the strawberries. Wash, hull, and cut the berries into quarters (small berries can be cut in half). Set the berries aside.

  • Step 3: On the stovetop, place the cast iron skillet. Melt the butter on low heat.

  • Step 4: While the butter is melting, prepare the cobbler batter. Mix together milk, sugar, and flour until smooth.

  • Step 5: When the butter has melted, turn off the heat. Pour the batter over the butter - DO NOT STIR!

  • Step 6: Add the cut strawberries around the pan, again, do not stir.

  • Step 7: Bake for 45 minutes, and enjoy!
