Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat large pot with the oil.
Step 2
Add veggies and sauté until tender.

Remove the casings from the Italian sausages.
Step 5
Add the Italian sausage to the pan.
Step 6
Brown, then drain off fat.
Step 7
Add to crockpot.
Step 8
Pour 8 cups for chicken broth into the crockpot .
Step 9
Add tomatoes and lentils.
Step 10
Add remaining ingredients.
Step 11
Turn on low cooking for 6 hours, adding water as needed.
Step 12
Correct the seasonings and remove bay leaf.
