Step 4: Remove the casings from the Italian sausages.
Step 5: Add the Italian sausage to the pan.
Step 6: Brown, then drain off fat.
Step 7: Add to crockpot.
Step 8: Pour 8 cups for chicken broth into the crockpot .
Step 9: Add tomatoes and lentils.
Step 10: Add remaining ingredients.
Step 11: Turn on low cooking for 6 hours, adding water as needed.
Step 12: Correct the seasonings and remove bay leaf.
