Step by Step Method

Step 1

In large pan brown ground beef,onions and garlic, add tomato sauce and water.

Step 2

Bring to a boil and stir in the rice.

Step 3

Cover and simmer 20 minutes

Step 4

In a greased casserole or baking dish place half the shredded cabbage on bottom, add half the rice mixture

Step 5

Repeat layers.

Step 6

Cover and bake in a 350 oven for 1 hour.

I like these type of casseroles a lot and added 2 carrots, chopped but thought it needed something else to kick it up a notch. Comfort food dinner. Thanks for sharing!

This is faster and easier than making the rolls. As I am going to be away for a week, I made this as part of DH meals. Will be keeping this recipe handy this winter. Thank you for sharing Gerry!

My family really enjoyed this and it's much easier that making cabbage rolls, it's the perfect Fall meal, filling and not expensive to make, I will make it again many more time, thank you Gerry!
