"My daughter made this first and it was so good with anything, that I make it all the time as I love cooked cabbage. We first had it about eight or nine years ago, so it is a rather old recipe now to me."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Thinly slice cabbage after you take the core out.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a large skillet (I use a nonstick deep pan) and then over medium heat fry the cabbage till wilted and done; sometimes some of the strands get brownish as it almost caramelizes--add more butter if needed, a tad at a time.

Step 3

Turn the heat down and add salt and pepper and continue frying till done but don't let it burn.
