"A New England favorite, done slightly differently! In this particular recipe, the grated parm in the greem box works better than freshly grated. So don't be ashamed - buy a small box of it... This dish comes together really quickly - perfect for weeknight meals, but fancy enough for company!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 475 degrees

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the milk and salt. In a separate shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, cheese and thyme.

Step 3

Dip a fillet in the milk, then press int the crumbs until totally covered. Place in a small glass or stoneware baking dish (I like using LeCreuset glazed stoneware). Repeat with remaining fillets. Sprinkle some (or all) of the remaining crumbs over the fish in the baking dish.

Step 4

Drizzle the melted butter over the fish and bake on the top rack of the oven for 15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily.

I used halibut in place of haddock...this was such and easy and tasty recipe...I really enjoyed it...next time I think I'll squeeze a touch of lemon juice on top...made for "FYC" tag game...

Made as part of my Icelandic version of "Surf & Turf" & served to US dinner guests this evening w/my grilled marinated lamb tenderloin & https://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/green-beans-with-new-potatoes-and-bacon-135 by Denise. This haddock is truly buttery delicious! I added lemon pepper & a bit of Old Bay, but it was otherwise made as written & was well-rec'd by Siggi & our guests. This will definitely enjoy an encore at our table, so thanks for sharing the recipe w/us. :-)
