"Around this house, I'm known as the "COOKIE MONSTER" and this particular cookie monster has a special fondness for easy-fix shortbread cookie recipes. Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°.

Step 2

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour.

Step 3

Press dough into an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan. Prick with a fork.

Step 4

Bake until light brown (30-35 min).

Step 5

Cut into squares while warm. Cool completely on a wire rack. If desired, dust lightly with powdered sugar.

These are very good and so easy to make too. We did cook ours about 40 minutes but our pan was also 8 inches square instead of the size specified. Thanks for sharing!
