Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine butter and sugar over low hear in saucepan and cook until smooth.

Step 2

Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.

Step 3

Add egg and beat well.

Step 4

Stir in flour, baking powder, vanilla and nuts until well mixed.

Step 5

Pour into ungreased 8 x 8 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Allow to cool before trying to cut.
