Step by Step Method

Pour boiling water over cornmeal

Let cool in stoneware crock or big bowl,its going to rise

Add yeast to the warm cornmeal mixture

Add sugar

Step 5

Add milk and rest of water

Step 6

Stir until smooth

Step 7

Add buckwheat flour

Step 8

Stir until smooth

Step 9

Add salt stir

Step 10

Put plate over crock so nothing can get in

Let rise overnight

Step 12

Dont let get to warm

Step 13

Before making pancakes, add baking soda most recipes call for a pinch

Step 14

Ml you may need to add more water to pour out cakes

Step 15

Cook on a pam sprayed heavily buttered skillet
