  • Step 1: Pour boiling water over cornmeal

  • Step 2: Let cool in stoneware crock or big bowl,its going to rise

  • Step 3: Add yeast to the warm cornmeal mixture

  • Step 5: Add milk and rest of water

  • Step 6: Stir until smooth

  • Step 7: Add buckwheat flour

  • Step 8: Stir until smooth

  • Step 9: Add salt stir

  • Step 10: Put plate over crock so nothing can get in

  • Step 11: Let rise overnight

  • Step 12: Dont let get to warm

  • Step 13: Before making pancakes, add baking soda most recipes call for a pinch

  • Step 14: Ml you may need to add more water to pour out cakes

  • Step 15: Cook on a pam sprayed heavily buttered skillet
