How to Make

  • Step 1: Trim stems and outer leaves from sprouts.

  • Step 2: Boil or steam, covered, for 10 minutes, or until crispy-tender.

  • Step 3: Cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan and drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of fat from pan.

  • Step 4: Add onion and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Combine sour cream, flour, salt and pepper.

  • Step 6: Stir sour cream mixture into onion; add crumbled bacon and heat sauce through. If sauce is too thick, add a bit of milk to thin it out.

  • Step 7: When sprouts are done, drain well, top with sauce and serve.
