"This was one of his favorite dishes before he became President. And every working woman used minute rice back then, and the veggies were cooked to death. It uses 2 packets of dry chicken soup, if you use 1 just cut down on water by a cup."

Easy peasy, honestly simple and good. Love how you just stick it in the oven while giving you rest of mind while preparing the rest of your meal. Followed as directed, except that I used regular jasmine rice and only used about 8-9 ounces breakfast sausage and found that it needed a little more seasoning, so instead of just adding salt, opted for adding a bit of Umami Ramin Japanese seasoning (Simply Asia brand). The rice turned out fluffy and the veggies were perfectly cooked. We loved it, and some of us added soy sauce over the top and others didn’t. Thanks, Dee, for sharing.
