"This is a very basic recipe. Now, you can always add jalapeno, corn, black beans, bell peppers, green chilies, garlic, etc. But, I love to make this simple recipe to use as a garnish for - soups, grilled seafood or other proteins, on nachos, quesadillas, or tacos, etc. Obviously, you can adjust it to your tastes. You may want more onion or more lime, etc; feel free to customize it to your tastes."

Step 1

Salsa ... Add everything to a bowl; and toss to combine. Start with a pinch of salt and pepper; then, adjust accordingly. Cover with plastic wrap; and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. ENJOY!

Step 2

As mentioned, it is great as a garnish on soups, chili, any Mexican dishes, grilled seafood, chicken or pork, etc. Now, if serving it with chips; I may add some jalapeno, corn, peppers, green chilies; and, a few more spices. But, this is just a simple recipe used more as a garnish.

This is an excellent recipe for Pico de Gallo. It is the way I alway make it and always turns out fresh and delicious. Serve on Tortilla Chips or with your favorite Tex Mex Recipe as a condiment. I selected this recipe and made it in honor of Kimchurchill5's memory for her Cook-a-thon.
