Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix the barbecue sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, liquid smoke, and red pepper flakes together in a separate bowl.

Step 2

Season the chops with garlic salt, onion powder, and ground pepper.

Step 3

Give them a quick brown in some oil in a skillet (not to long just until they are browned on both sides).

Step 4

Layer the pork chops in your slow cooker, making sure to put the sauce on each chop as you go.

Step 5

Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. The pork should be fall-apart-tender when done.

Great tasting chops. The aroma alone gets five stars! Perfect recipe for the times you have to be away from the kitchen. Chops were flavourful, tender and delicious. I didn't add the optional liquid smoke but did add the red pepper pepper flakes. We enjoyed!

You have just made me enjoy pork chops all over again, I gave then a quick browning first I didn't have garlic salt so garlic powder was what I used along with some salt. easy and really good just the kind or recipes I love to make, and eat. thanks Eva!
