Step by Step Method

Step 1

Season meat with salt & peper. Place the meat in the slow cooker with water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour. Tun to LOW and cook 7 to 9 hours longer, until very tender.

Step 2

Remove roast and discard fat and juices. Chop or shred the pork; return to slow cooker. Mix a little barbecue sauce into the meat for flavor. Cook for about 1 hour longer, until hot. Serv

Step 3

Serve on warm split sandwich buns with extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Delicious, moist, and simple to make! The only thing I did different was adding a few cloves of chopped garlic and replaced the water with 1 cup of apple juice. After the pork was done, I used just enough of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce to flavor the pork because hubby doesn’t like the BBQ sauce to overpower the flavor of the pork.I made some purple apple Cole slaw and kale chips to serve along with the BBQ. This makes great BBQ pork on sandwiches or just eaten plain!!! Thanks for posting this recipe. :)
